MY Addiction

Hello fellow quilters, bloggers and friends;

I discovered quilting seven years ago.  I was really bored in the evenings, I mentioned to my neighbor I needed something to do, and threatened to go buy a sewing machine and learn how to quilt.  Little did I know, this neighbor was a quilt instructor.  She told me ” I have been teaching quilting for over 20 years, if you are serious, I would be more than happy to teach you how to quilt”.  I bought my sewing machine, and never looked back.

Quilting has turned from something to do in the evenings, to my passion and addiction.  I don’t consider myself a professional, as there are lots of quilts I don’t have the courage to try, but I do pretty well with what attracts me.  I have also broken into the design aspect, because I have gotten bored with so many of the same patterns, same blocks etc.

I have had the honor of teaching my oldest granddaughter, and my best friend to quilt this last year.  As they say I have passed on my addiction, they don’t know whether to curse me or hug me.

I am excited about sharing some of my original designs with you.  I have taken some old tried and true blocks, made my own arrangements and have come up with some pretty stunning and fun designs.  All of my patterns are for sale, if interested, email me at ggstitchery.com
